All the regions and market segments in which the Tornos Group operates were in recession throughout the whole of 2009. In view of the extremely poor business environment, both sales and new orders declined severely compared to 2008.
The Tornos Group's consolidated gross sales totalled CHF 114.4 million in 2009 – a 56.5% drop on the previous year (CHF 262.9 million).
New orders in 2009 totalled CHF 85.5 million, a drop of 63.2% compared to 2008 (CHF 232.1 million).
The detailed Group results will be published at the press conference scheduled for 15 March 2010 in Zurich, Swiss.
