CYCLO CUT cutting tools and CYCLO COOL metalworking fluids are changing the way aircraft OEM's and sub-contractors are processing commercial and military aircraft components reaching new highs in metal removal rates, tool life and lowering overall fluids usage.
MAG offers a wide range of CYCLO CUT cutting tools and CYCLO COOL metalworking fluids designed and blended for all aspects of aerospace machining. CYCLO CUT tools and CYCLO COOL fluids have proven capability to increase material removal rates in titanium aerostructures by as much as 300 percent - resulting in faster cycle times, 33 percent cost-per-part reductions and increased tool life. MAG's WYLCUT-SWIFT brand of wobble broaches and insert removal tooling solutions are utilized in the production and refurbishment of the thin wall insert system for the manufacture and maintenance of aeroengines and turbines.
With a portfolio of more than 14,000 unique tool types, CYCLO CUT products include indexable milling tools, rotary cutting tools and tool holders for roughing, semi-finishing and finishing operations across titanium, aluminum and composite applications in the aerospace, automotive, heavy equipment, medical, woodworking, circuit board fabrication and general machining industries. CYCLO CUT cutting tools include a unique range of solid carbide, brazed carbide, polycrystalline diamond and high-speed steel end mills, routers, standard drills, micro and circuit board drills, reamers, keyseat cutters, plunge and chamfer mills, countersinks, saws and files.
CYCLO CUT indexable milling tools are specially designed for cutting titanium and capable of removal rates up to 11 in3/min. CYCLO CUT indexable tools include end mills from 16 mm (.625 in) to 76 mm (3 in) diameter, facemills from 31.75 mm (1.25 in) to 508 mm (20 in) diameter, and spiral flute mills for high-speed cutting from 25 mm (1 in) to 127 mm (5 in) diameter with cutting speeds up to 16,400 sfm. MAG recently launched a new CYCLO CUT range of cast iron and steel turning grades and a complete portfolio of precision threading and die and mold insert grades for hardened materials.
All CYCLO CUT cutting tools are available with a variety of PVD coatings including TiN, TiCN, TiAIN and diamond coatings, as well as MAG proprietary coatings for special applications. MAG also offers a complete range of CYCLO CUT tool holders including CAT (30, 40, 50, 60), HSK (63, 100, 125) and BT, along with collet chucks, end mill holders, boring bars, extended reach and shrink fit holders, and shell mill arbors.
