Schmitt Europe has added an advanced grinding machine balancer control platform and acoustic emission (AE) monitoring system to its line of products for grinding industry applications.
The products are said to provide customers with increased precision in grinding-wheel balancing. The SB-5500 control unit features a high-resolution display and user interface with multiple language capability, including Chinese. The unit balances to 0.02 micron at 30-30,000rev/min, and with four channels allows multiple balancing of grinding machines.
The AE-1000 is a compact and easy-to-use AE detection device for monitoring high-frequency signals generated on grinding machines during key process events. The sensor allows the machine tool to automatically respond to key process events to facilitate gap control, diamond dresser control and crash detection, achieving increased precision, improving efficiency and reducing costs.
