On CIMES 2010 recently held in Beijing, TRUMPF Group exhibited a series of products as its economic type machining center TruPunch 1000, the latest developed new generation of laser cutting machine TruLaser 1030, the high-speed laser machine TruLaser 3030, the all-range NC bending machine TruBend 5130 and etc. on its 252m2 booth. Meanwhile, the processing demonstration onsite also attracted the eyes of many visitors.
Mr. Gu Yonglin, general manager of TRUMPF (China) Hong Kong Co., Ltd., said while receiving the interview of Adsale Machinery Portal that the company has established a main machine production plant in China for launching more products acceptable by medium users in price and performance. 沅Our users are extending from high-end to medium, and I believe by doing so, our market share in China could be improved in a short period.÷
Mr. Gu frankly expressed that, with the quick development of laser technology in China in recent years, the market share of some well-known demostic enterprises has exceeded that of TRUMPF with regard to China's market. While TRUMPF entered China's market a little bit later and its products was sold by agents before, therefore, some medium and small-scale enterprises may not fully aware of the brand of TRUMPF, even that their products in fact show significant advantages in cutting speed, efficiency and reliability.
According to Mr. Gu, TRUMPF is the largest industrial laser machining enterprise in the world and owns advanced technologies in this area and the company is also the sole manufacturer of laser processing equipment integrating production of optical source and whole machine. 沅We pay close attention to research and development and invest Euro 130-150 million every year for this purpose, covering as high as 7 per cent in the annual sales amount.÷
Talking about the market demand, Mr. Gu considered that the market demand from China's market in the first half of this year exceeded imagination, 沅somehow crazy÷, he said that most of the machine tool manufacturers face the problem of late delivery,沅yet, this kind of situation will not always go on. I think the market will become weak and the demand will decrease in the fourth quarter.÷
TRUMPF is engaged in five business sectors: numerical control machine tool, electric tool, laser technology, electronic and medical technology, but its core businesses are NC machine tool and precise sheet metal processing. Before the financial crisis, the annual sales amount of machine tools of TRUMPF in the sector of sheet metal processing was up to Euro 2.2 billion.
