Among the numerous international CAM software branding, Delcam's development in China market is remarkable. CMJ reporter has interviewed Mr Lu Wan-tao, manager of Delcam’s Shenzhen office recently talking about exhibition participations, mould processing, advanced technology and market development.

CMJ：As one of the worldwide leading CAM software supplier, what is the late exhibition plan of Delcam in China?
Delcam：We are now attending a Dental Show in Shanghai and are still mainly promoting our prototyping software for teeth--DentMill. Besides that we will attend the International Industrial Fair in Shanghai this November, and then will participate in an important exhibition, the DMP exhibition in Dong Guan.
CMJ：Would you introduce us the main theme of Delcam in Shanghai Industrial Affair?
Delcam：Knowing the influence of International Industrial Fair in China and it's high-level international acceptance, our main goal is to emphasize the recognition of Delcam being the biggest CAM software company in the world. This is supported by evaluation from authoritative media and statistics. We are capable of providing relative types of CAM software for numerous processing and prototyping related industry domains.
CMJ：Would you explain to us what are these types of CAM software?
Delcam：Basically they are divided into 5 types. For example, the PowerMILL system used for 2-5 axis high speed machining (such as mold manufacturing); the FeatureCam software for product processing, turning-milling complex machining and Wire E.D.M; the ArtCAM system for embossment on jewelry and wood carving; the PartMarker system for slitting machine and turning center programming and the DentMILL for professional dental machining system.
CMJ：Will Delcam launch any new products in International Industrial Fair for the China market？
Delcam： To this point we have no new products to launch, but in fact base on the development of the industry and demands from clients every year we provide upgrades and updates for our softwares.
CMJ：For those clients concerning mould processing, what is their requirement for CAM software?
Delcam：In general, the requirements from clients are fast programming process, gaurantee of the safty of processing facilities and easy-to-learn. Obviously, the most important thng is the high quality of processing. Basically Delcam can satify these requirements. Gree Electric Appliances, Inc is an excellent example of our very successful clients.
CMJ：Techniques such as High-speed machining, reverse engineering, rapid prototyping and virtual manufacturing, how are they applied in mold manufacturing? What is the preference of Delcam on these techniques?
Delcam：Delcam has already launched the CopyCAD Pro design system based on the reverse engineering technique. The system can process complete forward and reverse modeling and has been being applied by many research and development divisions in China.
CMJ：There are many recognizable CAM software companies all over the world. Why do you think Delcom can gain such advanced position than these companies in developing in the China market?
Delcam：Although these CAM companies' product possess their own characteristics, the non-diversification of their product type lead to the limitation of application on maybe only one or two processing field. On the contrary, Delcam has different kinds of products for different industrial processing domain and thus we possess more market growth spots. And this is the main reason why Delcam can be well-established in China market. We project a more than 30% market growth this year.
