The EMO MILANO 2009 will be staged from October 5 to 10 in Italy's Milan.
Despite the slack demand in the current machine tools market, manufacturers are eager to showcase their latest development to the industry.
According the European Association of the Machine Tool Industries (CECIMO), the organizer of EMO, European companies bagged 53% less machine tools orders in the first quarter of this year compared to the same period last year. Full-year orders are expected to shrink by more than 30%.
Rovera GM
Rovera GM - a gantry milling machines specialist | Rovera GM, a gantry milling machines and customized vertical lathes specialist, will launch a new range of milling machines model "PMW-P" at the October show.
The PMW-P machines with mobile crossbeam are conceived and realized to carry out the execution of rough machining and finishing, with 3 and 5 axes, of mechanical components with large dimensions. The applications include general mechanics (heavy and/or of structures), the aeronautics sector, up to the machining of big molds.
Fidia
Italian manufacturing giant Fidia will display all of its CNC products, including numerical control system, bi-potary heads and milling machining center, at the exhibition.
Fidia's M5A/55 continuous bi-rotary head | The exhibits include the nC12 and nC15 numeral controls that are suitable for medium-size machines while features and performances can be scaled to achieve the most suitable configuration. ISOGRAPH programming tool can solve any aspect of 2.5D machining. With Fidia XPower Drivesm, the machine axes are driven to highest dynamic values, providing smooth movements and high accuracy.
Also on display will be the M5A/55 continuous bi-rotary head that is ideal for medium/large machines to perform the complete cycle of production from roughing to finishing, but above all it is suitable for HSC applications. Also, with its interchangeable spindle/electrospindle, the RHS/55 (Ram Head System) is suitable for large size, powerful and versatile machine tools.
MVM
MVM's new model vertical axis grinding machine LA500 | MVM, which produces knife grinders for straight and circular blades of every dimension, will display its new model vertical axis grinding machine LA500 at the show.
LA 500 features a tilting head from 0 ° to 70 °, and is therefore suitable for both flat grinding of mechanical parts and for the sharpening of circular blades and counter blades for paper cutting and other applications.
The machine is equipped with an optional rotating mechanical table Ø300 mm, grinding cup wheel Ø150 mm, adjustable arm and adjustable head height to adjust the clearance between grinding wheel and work table, automatic down-feed, optional 5 HP grinding motor, grinding wheel reverse rotation, and optional variable speed table speed 3-45 rpm.
CML
Italian bending machine maker CML International will introduce 3 new bending solutions at the trade fair.
Innovative Ercolina GB130 T CNC 10 | The bender model TB130 is for producing consistent quality bends in large diameter pipe, tube, squares, rectangular, solids and other profiles. Bends to a centerline radius as small as 2D without a mandrel. The machine is supplied with the following hexagons: 40, 50, 80 and 110 mm for the use of formers from Ø 10 mm (3/8" OD) to Ø 130 mm (5" OD).
The maximum manufacturing capacity of GB100 S CNC 6: up to Ø 120 x 5,3 mm (4"1/2 OD x 0.210) with standard tubes [CE 42 Kg/mm2], up to Ø 120 x 3,2 mm with stainless steel tubes [65 Kg/mm2] and up to a Ø 120 x 8 with copper an aluminum tubes [30 Kg/mm2], and the Minimum bending radius is 40 mm (1"1/2) x OD, the Maximum bending radius: 400 mm (16") x OD.
Giga Bender 130 T CNC 10, assembled with Twin Head, is suited for industrial bending of tube, pipe, square and rectangular profiles to center line radius as small as 1.5D, having its Maximum capacity up to Ø 141,3 x 4,7 mm (5"1/2 OD x 0.185) with standard tubes [CE 42 Kg/mm2], up to Ø 141,3 x 2,9 mm (5"1/2 OD x 0,114) with stainless steel tubes [65 Kg/mm2] and up to a Ø 141,3 x 6,9 mm (5"1/2 OD x 0,272) with copper and aluminum tubes [30 Kg/mm2]. Minimum bending radius is 40 mm (1"1/2) x OD. The maximum bending radius is 450 mm (18") x OD. Programmable control with bend angles 0° to 180°.
Sacemi Elettropompe
Italy's Sacemi Elettropompe, a specialist in industrial pumps production, will demonstrate its low or medium pressure motor-driven pumps with immersed rod and other major products at the EMO MILANO 2009 held next month in Milan, Italy.
The company offers a wide range of pumps, designed for industrial application and mainly for use with cooling, lubrication, cleaning and conditioning and anywhere where efficient circulation of water-oil emulsions and pure cutting fluids is required. Capacity: up to 1.200 litres/min and a head of up to 100 meters. In particular, immersed rod pumps are designed with a view to reliability, contained operating costs, safety of use and total elimination of risks due to overflow or leaks of pumped liquids.
